General Build Guidlines and Restrictions
----------------------------------------------

*Harper Scout is a class of the Forgotten Realms setting, and therefore is not permitted on DLCR.

*The Purple Dragon Knight class is prohibited because it is a Forgotten Realms class.

*The sorcerer class is not prohibited, but highly discouraged; due to the time setting. Ask a DM before creation.

*Red Dragon Disciple may be permitted as a class, but only after the player has demonstrated a great role play background and concept for the character.

*The Champion of Torm is a prestige class limited to the service of the Gods of light of a lawful alignment.

*Prestige classes may be chosen as applicable to a balanced character.  They should reflect your character's career choices and not, simply, the most "uber" build.  Violations will be discussed on a case by case basis.

Divinity & Domains
----------------------
*Clerics, Druids and Shifters gain the powers from the divinity of the gods, and to a lesser degree so do Monks.

*The player must choose from the appropriate domains for their character's faith and ethos if they create a cleric.

*The player must choose an appropriate faith for their divine spellcasting class or monastic order.

Example: There are no Clerics of Chemosh with the Healing and/or Sun domains, likewise, there are no Druids of Sargonnas.  Shifters of Chislev do not choose unnatural shapes such as constructs and undead.

*The Dragon Shape ability is prohibited, Dragons are the domains of the gods, and as such, can take direct involvement with the character.

Multi class
------------
*You may select up to 2 prestige classes.

Build Limitations
-------------------
*Character builds that are unrealistic and exploitative for the purpose of power gaming, are prohibited.

Some examples of, but not limited too are:  Paladin/Rogue/Pale Master or Monk/Rogue/Sorcerer.

You may not (multi-class) take only one (1) level of sorcerer simply to gain the use of magical items. SEE UPDATE IN THE NEXT POST!

You may not (multi-class) take only  one (1) level of Fighter simply to gain weapon and armor proficiencies.  Etc. SEE UPDATE IN THE NEXT POST!

These rules were made up before we put in Minotaurs and Half-Ogres. ATM there are no special rules reagrding these 2 "new" races. For now, make a realistic choice and all will be well. If you aren't sure, please contact the staff.

(Additional) Rules (August 2013):

- No sorcerers.

- No horses for Paladines right away.

Multiclass rules:

- Maximum are 3 classes.

- 2nd class: When taking up the 2nd class, there have to be at least 5 levls in the first class. After taking up a 2nd class, the player is not forced to level that 2nd class right away. There has to be at least 5 levels for the 2nd class, when reaching the level cap.
Example:
A player has a 5th level fighter and the adds rogue as a class. With the next  gained 2 levels, the player decides to give these to the fighter class and would have fighter (7), rogue (1). That would be OK.

- 3rd class: A player has to to bring the 2nd class up to level 5 before taking a 3rd class. There has to be at least 5 levels for all the taken classes, when reaching the level cap.

Example:
fighter (l8), rogue (l4), ranger (l1) would not be OK.
fighter (l5 or more), rogue (l5 or more), wizzard (l1) is OK.

- Wizard as a 2nd/3rd class is possible, but maximum wizard class for multiclass is level 5! Taking more wizard levels will mean, that the Tower Of High Sorcery will declare this character a renegade (if discovered).

I think the DMs have to have an updated discussion on allowed classes. I recall this argument on Sorcerers back in 2013 and I know that the DM who was most opposed to the class has left.
